Internal bifold doors that make rooms flexible
Divide a space when you need privacy and open it fully when you do not. Solarlux folding glass partitions turn two rooms into one without a structural change, and let light travel through the house.
Internal folding doors for homes and workplaces
Modern living favours flexible interiors. With Solarlux glass partitions, a room can be divided to suit its purpose and opened again, with no structural modification. They work in private homes, where they link a kitchen, dining and living space, and in hotels, offices and other public buildings where a quiet area is needed.
Internal bifold doors, internal folding doors and internal sliding glass doors all solve the same problem. A folding system gathers the panels into a narrow stack when open. A sliding system keeps the glass parallel to the wall. We will help you choose between them for your layout.

What to decide before you order
Internal glass walls are made to measure, so a few details shape the design. Tell us about these when you ask for a quote:
- The opening width and ceiling height, and where the panels should stack when open
- Whether you need acoustic privacy, which affects the glass and the seals
- Frame colour and finish, to match your joinery and window frames
- Whether the same wall also needs to carry a door for everyday use
Why a glass partition
Light travels
Daylight reaches the middle of the house instead of stopping at a solid wall.
Open or closed
Fold the panels away for one large room, close them for a quiet space.
No building work
Divide a space without altering the structure of the building.

Internal bifold doors: your questions answered
Can bifold doors be used inside the house?
Yes. Folding glass walls can divide rooms indoors as well as open a house onto the garden. Solarlux glass partitions are designed for that job.
What is the difference between internal bifold doors and internal sliding doors?
Bifold doors fold into a stack at one side and can open the whole width. Sliding doors glide parallel to the wall and leave part of the opening covered. See our sliding doors page.
Are internal glass doors soundproof?
Glass partitions give visual openness with a degree of sound separation that depends on the glass and the seals. Tell us how much privacy you need and we will specify to suit.
