Natural timber you can see and touch indoors, a weatherproof aluminium skin outdoors. Internorm's timber-aluminium windows combine the cosiness of wood with the low maintenance of a modern exterior.
Your choice of timber, your choice of colour
Inside, choose spruce or larch, or step up to oak, ash or walnut to match your floors and joinery. Outside, the aluminium cladding can be any RAL colour. Because the timber is protected from the weather, painting windows becomes a thing of the past.
A thermal foam between timber and aluminium keeps the U-values excellent, and the composite construction gives strong sound insulation and security.
Mix and match through the house
You do not have to use one material everywhere. A popular approach is timber-aluminium in living areas and uPVC-aluminium in bathrooms and utility rooms. Both come in all four design styles, so the outside looks consistent.

Which is better, timber-aluminium or uPVC-aluminium?
Timber-aluminium suits you if you want real timber indoors and are happy to invest a little more. uPVC-aluminium is lower cost and very low maintenance. Both are triple glazed with an aluminium exterior. Read our comparison guide.
Do timber-aluminium windows need maintenance?
The exterior is maintenance-free. Interior timber is finished at the factory and needs only normal care.
Are they suitable for Passivhaus?
